Eilish was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer on 6 June 2007, at just 39 years of age. Always the life and soul of the party and the centre of attention, she's also a fun-loving, single mother to five fantastic children. Determined to carry on her life as usual - Eilish is living proof of the power of a positive mental attitude. We won't say she's dying because, thankfully, that's something she hasn't quite got the hang of yet... Like many other women, she wants to use her illness to drive awareness initiatives and achieve something positive. Eilish, her family and friends are working to raise awareness of the symptoms of this horrible disease and cut the number of families going through the same experience.
